This workshop will explore the advertising, marketing and glamorizing alcohol and drug use. We will discuss
relevant cultural icons and heroes who promote alcohol and drug useing lifestyles.
Of primary importance is the understanding that youth have when faced with making decisions regarding the
choice to start using. We recognize that when there is an addciction issue, then the choice to use becomes
urges and cravings, and so on.
Tools used will be worksheets, media (video and film), lecture, discussion and basic cognitive/behavioral
concepts.
